About Tastemaker

From the producers behind Taste of Toronto, IMGs Tastemaker debuts in Toronto on May 18-19th, 2018 at the Evergreen Brickworks. I am excited to be invited by Tastemaker to cover the event! With less than a week to go, grab your tickets!

Tastemaker will see renowned chefs from the city’s favourite culinary hotspots collaborating for the first time to create unique dishes exclusive to the festival itself.

Each all-inclusive ticket allows guests access to all programming and events on a session-based entry, and unlimited food and drinks.

Tastemaker will feature a delectable selection of food and drink from local and national chefs and unique entertainment to enrich the entire experience. Guests will enjoy a true ‘food hall’ environment in an open concept space, with rows of communal seating and sampling booths.

Also, partners (Sobey’s and Paderno) will bring interactive activations to Tastemaker.

Chef collaborations

The Sobeys Tastemaker Kitchen will pair up renowned chefs from the city’s favourite culinary hotspots, who will collaborate for the first time to create unique dishes exclusive to Tastemaker. Guests will have the opportunity to watch the city’s best chefs demonstrate their creativity and technical ability up close, whilst interacting with them and tasting their creations.

The Paderno Challenge Kitchen will feature two chefs per session competing to produce dishes based on a specific ingredient. The Paderno Challenge Kitchen is an opportunity for guests to learn about how to use ingredients in new ways, whilst allowing them to interact with these renowned chefs.

Each Tastemaker session will feature two chef collaborations at the Sobeys Tastemaker Kitchen, and one chef battle at the Paderno Challenge Kitchen. Chef collaborations include:
